Tho Unlvoralty Dramatic Club lias rocontly engaged Mr. Walter Bradley Tripp, a reader and dramatic pro ducer of national reputation, to appear In recital in Memorial Hall on Thurs day ovenlng, Jnnuary 24. Mr. Tripp Is a famous Shakesperlan student and reader and will give for his program in Lincoln a complete rendition of "King Henry IV." For a number of years attempts have been made to secure Mr. Tripp for an appearance in Lincoln, J)ut al ways heretofore ho has been unable to sign a contract for an available date. Tho Dramatic Club considers It self unusually fortunate, therefore; In being able to, bring Mr. Tripp to Lin coln this year. His program will be a treat not only to tho average stu dent who enjoys clever Impersonation, bilV will appeal as well to evoVy stu dent of tho classical In English liter ature as well. The old wolf, which is of gigantic size and lms a pelt which is white with ago, Is estimated by Professor Barbour to bo worth over one hundred dollars for museum purposes. Mr. Cook will take up scientific work, paying- particular attention to geological and ' geographical studies. Ho was a student at the Lincoln High School last year. State Aid for High Schools. Tho seminar in Education has, been busy collecting data on the subject of stato aid to high schools. Letters from all tho state superlntondonts of tho country have been received, and some very interesting material se cured. A surprising number of states, it is found, intend to give state aid many of thorn thru tho legislatures now In session. This movement, ten years ago, was confined to one or two states where it met much opposition and ridicule. Now It Beems destined to be tried everywhere. Even in this state tho movement bids fair to be soon adopted.
