A long distance tug of war has gone on with the fickle Goddess of Fortune smiling now on one sorority and now on another. Friends of three months ago greet each other now as rivals. What was once a cordial hand clasp Is, during rushing week, a mere touch of fingers oi a cool bow. In eyes where once shown the Bplrlt of comeraderle now gleams the glint of steel and the sparks fly as the glancing blades meet. And tho bewildered rushee moveB, or rather Is moved, this way and that and when it Is all over Is content with her choice or repents at leisure. But this Is only during rushing week. Tho calm of every day routine soon set tles upon the frats and sororities alike. "It Is all over" will be the initial sen tence of many n. letter home, and how It happened or didn't happen will fur nish food for frat house gossip for some time to come. Dr. Stein addressed the Y. W. C. A. Sunday afternoon on "The Power of loung Life." There was a good at tendance and a great deal of Interest was shown. Miss Van Zant and the new secretary, MIbs Withers, also spoke.
