Somerltlcism has oeen heard of the editorial in a recent issue of The Ne braskan regarding the riding of bicy cles on the smewalks about the uni versity buildings. It is undoubtedly a fact that if the riding of wheels on the campus were prohibited a great injus tice would be done to a majority of riders. Probably nine out of ten of those who ride w.ieels are discreet enough and use sufficient Judgment to prevent accident. It is to control the one that bicycle ordinances are passed. The ideal regulation would he ono to control the speed of riders, were this practicable. A little care, however, on the part of a few would obvlato the necessity of any regulation at all.
