Phi Delta Theta have had their chap
ter house at 1522 S st. remodeled,
painted and papered. It now has n
very- attractive appearance, both In
side and out. Tho following men have
been pledged: Loomls, White, Thom
son, Mulliken, McCutchen, Glanvllle,
Langerln.
Word has Just been received from
Anapolis that Reed Fawell has suc
cessfully passed the entrance examin
ation of Anapolis naval academy. The
examinations have been several de
grees harder than usual this yeai . At
the May examination three out of forty
were admitted and rft the first on-.' In
September twenty-five fallod to re
ceive the required grade. Not only this,
hut also the fact that Mr. Fawell had
only six weeks for preparation, while
tome who failed had studied for two
years. Is an additional cause for con
gratulation. Mr? Fawell was a
pledged member to Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
DEBATING CLUBS.
The Palladlan Boys' Debating club
will hold a business meeting Satur
day evening at which time officers will
be elected and new members accepted.
Mr. I-lghtner, who was elected presi
dent last year, will probably not be
here and one will have to be elected
to fill his place. His expected ab
sence will also leave a vacancy In
the secretary's chair In the University
debating aseociation which will have
to bo filled.
The meoting of tho Palladlan boys
will bo of a social character as they
will have a "feed" and spend the ev
ening in pleasure.
