years and became quite wealthy The great Chicago fire however caught him without insurance protection nnd left him comparatively a poor man Later he was located at Belle Plain Iowu from which place he came to Norfolk about 1885 where he has since remained in business as a real eBtate broker Having no relatives here not very much is known of his family history yet it is understood that he did have two sons and two daughters but their whereabouts is unknown One siBter living iu Canon City Col is the only relative heard from since his death be sides which he has at least one other sister living
