of failing health aud will close out

aorry to lose Col Anderson as he is a

Fridays Races were thereat of the
three days held here last weeK Vfc

past due and had to make our appear
ance without further delay Many
people who came stayed over for Fri
days Races and there were numerous
new comers so that our town fairly
which came in torrents each night of
last week but the days were fine and
the track was good excepting that It
was about half under water In places
Ne3rly two thousand people were on
hand for the last days Races and en
joyed It Numerous races were run
beside those given on the program
and whose name we did not learn but
one of the most interesting was the j
Rosebud pony race in which a small
pony beat six or eight horses that
were larger and stronger The little
mouse laid close to the ground and
kept jumping and came out clear It
was a pretty race as the other horses
worked bard to keep up and it was an
interesting race from start to finish
the small pony resembling a rabbit
the lare ones the hounds in hot

The recent wet spell wound up in a
blaze of glory last Friday evening
