The Democrats of Brown county met
in mass convention here to day to elect
four delegates to attend the state con
vention at Lincoln April 29th The
convention was called to older by the
chairman A G Holt Committees on
permanent organization and resolu
tions were appointed and then there
was a recess of fifteen minutes This
time was occupied by appropriate
speeches the first person called upon
being Robert Martin a Democrat of
the Jeffersonian stripe and his allu
sions to the statesmanship of Grover
Cleveland were greeted with resound
ing cheers The committee on resolu
tions reported the following

as will maintain the parity of the two metals
