Wil son was here to hold a session of the district court and take up the matter cf Leona Maupin, et al s. r.he City of Plattsmouth, an action in which the plaintiffs, owners of iand in the extreme south part of the city, peek to have it set outside the corporate limits of the city. The plaintiffs in their petition claim ed the land is used exclusively for agricultural purpcscs and that it lias no benefit from being part of the city, having no pavement, water or electric services. Anions these attending the hear ing was Will M. Maupin, state rail way commissioner and father-in-law of the plaintiff. While here Mr. Maupin had the opportunity of visit ing with a few of the old friends, among these Mr!' E. King of the Ne braska Masonic Home, both being old time printers back in the "hand set'' lays of the craft and had worked to gether on several of the well known pnpers in St. Joseph, Omaha and Lin coln. In conversation with a represen tative cf the Journal, Mr. Maupin states that he is seeking re-electicm -13 member of the state railway com mission, wheh post he has very ac ceptably filled for the past five years. This morning the force of work men of H. L. Kruger, local painter and wall paper dealer, left for Lin coln, where they are engaged in work.
