Creamer had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. Al Meyers, of Omaha. The mem bers of the party were guests at the SOth anniversary dinner of the Plattsmouth Catholics. Guests at Ashland Mr. and Mrs. Roy Knorr, daugh ter, Miss Mary Jean, son, Bill, and their guest, Ida Mae Whisinand of Hastings were in Ashland Sunday and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Panzer and family. A family dinner featured the day. Visit at Omaha Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Mr. and Mrs. Warga were pleased to find Mr. Rau ber getting along so nicely and trust he may soon be completely recovered again his own self. Mrs. Rauber was formerly Miss Rose Warga, a sister of Albert Warga. Kelley-Egeling Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lillie an nounce the recent marriage of their son, Harvey Eggeling to Miss Martha Kelley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Kelley of San Francisco, Cali fornia. The young couple were mar ried at Iong Beach on Monday, Sep tember 18. Mr. and Mrs. Eggeling reside at 333 Maine avenue, Long Beach, California. Mr. Eggeling is very well known in Plattsmouth as he had lived and received his education here. A grad uate of the Plattsmouh high school in the class of 1936, he entered the United States navy that same year. At the present time he is the signal man on the U. S. S. Arizona. Celebrate Joint Birthday: Mr. and Mrs. frank Krejci enter tained at a dinner party yesterday, having as guests a group of relatives. It was in this manner that Mrs. Ed Robbins of Louisville and Mrs. Frank Krejci of this city celebrated their joint birthdays. The two ladies are sisters and the occasion also served as a farewell dinner for their father. John True, of Cedar Creek, who leaves soon for Sidney, Nebraska, to visit his daughter for several months. Present at the dinner party were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Robbins and two children, Eddie and Gary Robbins, Mr. Fritz True and Miss Maybelle Edwards of Louisville, John True of Cedar Creek and the Frank Krejci family. Honored on Anniversary Saturday evening a group of neigh bors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rhoades gathered at their home on Wintersteen hill to honor them on their 26th wedding anni versary. The party came as a com plete surprise to both Mr. and Mrs. Rhoades. The evening was spent in playing pinochle. Bingo and Chinese checkers, prizes being awarded to the winners. From Tuesday's Dally t Entertains Pinochle Club Mrs. Henrietta Ote was hostess on Monday afternoon to the mem bers of her pinochle club at her home on North 4th street. The ladies enjoyed a very delightful time at the cards and the first honors were won by Miss Minnie Guthmann and the consolation by Mrs. W. H. Puis. At a suitable hour Mrs. Ofe served a very dainty and much appreciated luncheon. School Dance Held The first dance of the school year was held yesterday afternoon at the Plattsmouth high school gymnasium. A. dance that was very well attended, the music box supplied the enter tainment for the dancers. Piano numbers were also special features of the dancing party. Dancing hours were from 4 to 6. Jcnior Womsyi's Club Miss Florence Smith of the Home LVonomies ('epartment of the Uni versity of Nebraska addressed the Junior Woman's club on the topic "The Gracious Hostess." This meet ing was held at Hotel Plattsmouth last evening. Misse6 Alice Hiatt and Catherine Anthes were in charge of the program. Mr. David Fowler fa vored the group with a vocal num ber, Mrs. Fowler served as his ac companist. Miss Florence Leamy served as accompanist for the group singing. The business for the evening con sisted of the election of delegates to the state convention to be held in Lincoln next Tuesday and Wednes day. October 17 and 18. Miss Wil helmina Henrichsen and Her Majesty M'ts Gertrude Vallery were chosen to represent the Plattsmouth Junior club. The next meeting will be a Hal lowe'en party on October 23. Snmrired on Birthday Monday was the anniversary of the 23rd birthday of Charles H. Walden. and in honor of the event Mrs. Walden entertained a group of the friends in their honor. The members of the party spent the eve ning at pinochle and Chinese check ers which served to pass the time most delightfully. At the conclusion of the evening Mrs. Wal den served a very much enjoyed luncheon that featured the tradi tional birthday cake. Enjoy Waffle Supper Four Plattsmouth young people drove to Nebraska City Sunday and were entertained at a very delightful waffle supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morley. The occa sion was held Sunday evening and was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Merle Meisinger, Don Ricfcetts, and Marion Speck of Plattsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. Zelda Hawthorne, Misses Florence Erhart, and June Tourville of Ne braska City. The remainder of the evening was spent in visiting. Mrs. Morley is a sister of Don Ricketts. From Wednesday' Dally Celebrates Sixth Birthday Mrs. J. C. Lowson entertained at a birthday party yesterday after noon in honor of her daughter, Miss Aileen Lowson whose sixth birthday occurred yesterday. Guests present at the birthday party included: Clem entine Woster, Marilyn Eourck, Betty Jean Howland, Larry Robin son, Patty Sylvester, Jaunita Sloan, Blanche Hughes, Ellen Ubben. The Hallowe'en colors served as the decorative motif of the table. Fol lowing the games the guest of honor's mother served a luncheon. Shuffle and Deal Club The members of the Shuffle end Deal club were entertained on Tues day evening at the home of George Jaeger in the Coronado apartments. In the card games Dr. L. S. Puctlik and Dr. W. V. Ryan were the most successful. Mr. Jaeger served a much pnjoyed lunch at an appropriate hour. Mrs. Pet?r Goos Peted Mrs. Peter F. Goos' three daugh ters Mrs. Ed N. Barker, Mrs. John A. Libershal, and Mrs. George E. Weidman tendered her a birthday dinner Sunday, October 8 at the lat ter's home. The occasion was given in observance of the passing of her 82nd birthday. Guests of Mrs. Goos at the dinner party included Mr. and Mrs. William Bruhl and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Buckner of Lincoln, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Storm.
