Mrs. Fred Fridley died Satur
day evening in one of the St.
Joseph hospitals. ■ She is about
sixty years of age, and for many
years has lived near Humboldt.
Dr. W. R. Waggoner is walk
ing with a cane this week. The
result of a strain caused by lift
ing a heavy weight.
Humboldt is threatened with a
water famine. The water in the
city well being very low and of
poor quality. Plans are being
made for a better water supply.
The little child of Frank Koz
ler and wife, formerly of this

Small pox is raging in South
east Harada precinct; there has
only been one serious case, how
ever, that of George Weiscnstein
who was the first victim, having
contracted the disease while in
Chase county, and he is now re-1
covered.
Luis Kuker who has been ill
for a long time was taken to the
hospital in St. Joseph for treat- j
moot, the first of the week.
Mrs. Harry Dridgeinan is quite,
ill at this writing.
