John Vandcrvoort , was up before -
fore Judge Cle : vcr on Wednesday -
day , on a charge of carrying con-
cealcd weapon 011 his person , It
seems that Vandcr\'oort has been
in thc habit for some time of
carrying sometimes two revel tiers
and flourishing them around
promiscously when drunk. The :
judge gave Vandervoort a severe
lecture on thc impropriety of such
conduct , as it was entirely unnecessary -
necessary . and somcthing hc
would not countenance , and anyone -
one arraigned before him on such
a charge would receive thc limit
of thc law. A fine of S34.80 was
i m poscd.

the intention to discontinue thc

building. In this we were mis-
