After the route is so stated , then
the County board of Supervisors
cooperating with the engineer in
charge may change the location
at anyone plain , excepting at
the termini.
\Ve arc very busy now prepar-
ing this petition which when
completed , will next week , be
published , together with other
interesting items. of drainage
matters , in various localities , including -
c1uding the ' 1'arldo river" in Mo.
In the mean time let liS not
forget that the owners of inllllda-
ted lands are seeking at their
own expense to reclaim the finest
body of alluvial lands in America
and thereby add to the aggregate
wealth df county and state for
taxation purposes thousands of
dollars and incidentally co lserv-
ing the expenses of the county in
costs of repairs to Co. bridges
arh1 } also eliminating the impossi-
biHty of ever hang good roads
at all seasons , across the bottoms
by placing the water plane of the
Ncmaha Valley from G to 10 feet
lower then it" is now , and also
incidcntly eliminating the mo-
squito and malarial diseases.

Saturday for a visit with rela-
tives and friends in Forest City ,

returned Saturday from St. Louis
where they have been visiting
the exposition.

cancer on her face but at last
was called to rest by her Heavenly -

family and many friends to mourn
