On riday nigh shortly after thc electric lights had gone out fire broke out in th restaurant of G. L. Beard on thc north side and came very near consuming thc structure before the fire com- pany arri\'cd. The : proprietor was closing np for thc night when hc states that a gasoline stove which he had shut off a few mom- cnts before exploded throwing burning over thc room and knock- ing him down.
