Fell To Her Death
After a frantic search of the
house Ralph Scott found the life
less body of his mother 3Irs
Mandaraa J Scott yesterday at
noon lyimg at the foot of the
stairs leading to the basement
01 home 129 North Twenty
ninth street Her skull was
crushed and she had been dead
for about a half an hour Mrs
Seott Iiad been alone in the house
all morning the entire family
being at work downtown Ralph
was the first of the family home
tor dinner and entering the
house lie called There was no
answer He walked to the kitch
ein She was not there Alarmed
he rushed through the house go
ing into every room She was not
in the house By this time thor
oughly alarmed young Scott ran
back to the latchen lie called

opened the door leading from the
kitchen into the Abasement Ho
ran to the first landing At the
bottow lay 1ms mother She nvas
dead Mrs Scott had gone into
the basement to put fuel in the
furnace From the position of
the body she had evidently trip
ped onthefirst landing and had
plunged head first down the
flight of stairs onto the cement
