ployes on its list They draw
from 20 to 150 per month and
the aggregate amount paid for
this year is 38000 The rules of
the department proAiide that re
tirement is compulsory at the
age of 70 years and that an em
ploye must have been continuous
ly in the service tAAenty years in
order to obtain a pension benefit
If an employe has been perman
ently disabled and has been in
the serAice continuously tAventy
five years he is entitled to a pen
sion irrespective of liis age
