A motion was made by Lofton seconded by
Gray that the damages caused by the location
of the new county roads No 416H in Grant
precinct which was granted by the board
March 23rd 1909 and No 424 in Grant and
Driftwood precincts which was granted by the
board March 23rd 1909 be allowed at the
amounts appraised byt the appraisers who
were appointed by the county clerk according
to law and the clerk was instructed to draw
warrants on the county general fund levy of

taxes paid by them on the south half of the
southeast quarter of section 19-1-27 under pro

reason that an error of 50000 was made on the
valuation of said land on the 1901 assessment
list
On motion tho county treasurer was in
structed to refund to Melissa Hess the sum of
S050 the amount of taxes paid by her on
the south half of the northwest quarter and the
southwest quarter of under protest forJ
the years 1904 03 CG and 07 for the reason that
an error of 2020 was made on the valuation of
said land on tho 1901 assessment list

tal at Hastings was on motion rejected for the
reason that said Frank Evertsou was not a
resident of Rod Willow connty

law makes provision for 320 acre homesteads in certain localities instead of the
usual 1G0 acre tracts The requirements of the law are practically the same re
garding residence improvements and cultivation These lands are going fast
if you want a homestead close to the railroad you should act now

fall annualiy and you only need to see the crops grown by the farmers already

I personally conduct excursions the first and third Tuesdays of each month
to these lands and am employed by the Burlington to answer all inquiries and to
