BONDS AND WATER TAX
To the qualified electors of the City of McCook
in Red Willow county State of Nebraska
Notice is hereby given thut an election will bo
held in said city on Tuesday the 7th day of
April 1903 between the hours of nine ocl ck a
m and seven oclock p in central standard
time for the purpose of submitting to the qual
ified electors of said city the following propo
sition
Shall Tthe City of McCook in Red Willow
coutitj Nebraska borrow money and issue the
bonds of said city for the purpose of erecting
constructing and maintaining n sj stem of water
works for said city iu the sum of eightj five
thousand dollars 5000 00 said bonds to bo
issued in sums of five thousand doIlarsS5000li0
ettch to become due iu twenty jears from the
date of issuance and to bo payable at any time
after live years and drawing interest at the
rate of sis per cent per annum payable semi
annually saici bonds to be called ater Bond-
and shall said city of McCook annually at the
time required b law for making the lovj for
taxes for citj purposes and in addition thereto
levj a general tax upon all the taxable property
wicliin the limits of said city of McCook suillc
ieut to paj tbo interest on said bonds and to
creato a sinking fund sutHcient to pay said
bonds when the mature said tax to bo lowed
and collected in the samo manner us other mun
icipal taxes aro leried and collected and said
tax to be known as a Water Fund the
of said bond when sold to bo applied to the
erection construction and maintenance of a
