Death of Joseph Miller
Joseph Miller one of the oldest resi
dents of Hitchcock county died rather
suddenly last Thursday evening He
had been ailing for some time with
asthmatic trouble but was able to be
up and around until the final summons
came About an hour before he died
he sent for Mr Solomon to mano nis
will and after finishing the work he
walked with Mr Solomon out in the
yard where they talked for a few min
utes When Mr Solomon returned to
town Mr Miller sat on the porch where
Mrs Miller left him to go ana muK iuo
cow Upon her return she found him
lying dead where she had left him but a
few minuted before Mr Miller came
to this county about twenty years ago
and resided on a homestead six miles
north of Culbertson in Blackwood pre
cinct for a number of years later he
lived over on the Willow for several
years and about three years ago he
moved to Culbertson Mr Miller leaves
a wife two sons and one daughter to
mourn his departure August the

Beatrice Frank the other son lives
on his farm up in Blackwood precinct
seven miles north of Culbertson Mrs
Casper Hackencamp the daughter lives
across the Willow in Frontier county
about ten miles northeast of this place
Mr Miller was 63 years old The fun
eral was held last Saturday afternoon in
the Evangelical church Sermon was
preached by Rev Rekow

13 1858 in Wylueing Penn She was
married to M O Reynolds Feb 25
1880 This union was blessed wih four
children one son and three daughters
She died at her home in Culbertson
Friday April 19 1907
Deceased was a member of the Method
ist Episcopal church and the Degree of
Honor The funeral was held Sunday

to mourn her departure Mr Reynolds
and family may rpst assured that they
have the love and sympathy of the en
