Stole an Overcoat
Parker Townsend a young man from
McCook who says he is a cook was ar
rested by the police Monday evening on
complaint of a man from Havelock who
accused him of stealing an overcort be
longing to him from a street car The
police said yesterday that Townsend had
confessed to the theft but ho was held
in jail and will have an inning in police
court this morning The overcoat was
recovered by its owner before the arrest
was made Lincoln Journal
PROSPECT PARK
Warner Anderson who has been visit
ing the homefolks for a few weeks left
for the west one day this week His
many friends were pleased to see him
The basket supper and entertainment
given at the Park school house was not
as well attended as was merited but
those attending report a very enjoyable
time
Evert and Ernest Cox came home to
spend a few days with the homefolks
Mr Franklin traveling solicitor for
the Kansas City Star gave a free show
at the Prospect Park school house Tues
day evening which was greatly inioyed
by all
A surprise party was given in honor
of Evert and Ernest Cox at the home of
their parents which was a very enjoy
able affair
Miss Adela Mette left for her home at
Beverly Monday morning to spena the
holidays with the homefolks
J H Wade who has been yisiting rel
atives in Chicago Galesburg and May
nard Iowa for the past three weeks
arrived home on No 1 Christmas day
He reports a very enjoyable time
Literary is held at the Prospect Park
school house every Friday night every

testament of the said deceased may bo nrovetl
approved probated allowed and recorded as
the last will and testament of the said George
Morris deceased late of Guthrie county state
of Iowa
Ordered that January 12 1007 at one oclock
pm is assigned for hearing said petition when
all persons interested in said matter may appear
at the county court to be held in and for said
county and show cause why tho prayer of said
petitioner should not be granted and it is fur
ther ordered that notice of the pendency of said
petition and the hearing thereof be given to all
persons interested in said matter bv publishing
a copy of this order in the McCook Tribune a
weekly newspaper printed in said county for
three successive weeks prior to said date of
