June 1 James Kivett superintendent
of buildings of the lines of the Burling
ton west of the Missouri river was made
supervisor of buildings and water ser
vice of the Nebraska district and will
report to General Superintendent
By rams office At the same time a
supervisor of buildings of the Wyoming
district was named and undor these
supervisors will be named master car
penters for each of six divisions who
will report to the division superintend
ents and the supervisor of buildings and
water service The master carpenters
for the Nebraska district are

Wymoro division F E Culp
McCook division George Fenney
The positions of superintendent of
buildings and of bridge superintendents
was abolished on that date It is under
stood that all bridge work will be hand
led through the engineers department
No official announcement has been
made as to wno will be named super
visor of buildings and water service for
the Wyoming district Dut the name of
E W Bell has been mentioned in the
connection It has been stated further
that John T Rivett now superintend
ing the construction of the Beatrice pas
senger station may be named as master
carpenter for one of the Wyoming dis

er of bandits and train robbers In this
way he has made about 50000 Among
the distinguished outlaws he has
chased were Jesse James and his broth
er Eob Ford Bill Dalton and Bill
Cook while he was the leader of the
band that caught Cherokee Bill in 1S05

Jenkins was shot eight times He esti
mates his bag of bad men at about 150

The old soldiers and citizens generally
honored the dead veterans buried in Mc
Cook s cemeteries Wednesday by ser
vices and with flowers
In the morning a delegation of the
post and from the sistawordors repaired
to the cemeteries and decorated the
graves of the veterans of the deceased
members of their families then return
ed to the post hall and adjournea until
afternoon when services wore hold in
the Methodist church the veterans and
ladies marching to the church in organ
ized bodies following the colors Ser
