was found dead in his bed near Freedom
last Saturday morning His head was
all shot up and it is supposed he killed
himself as he had been in poor health

On the evening of October 9th a good
many young people helped Roy Coleman
pull through another birthday They
had such a job of it that it took till after
midnight to get through He was
twenty years old that day Twenty
years have rolled by since he wasborn
only a few rods from where his twentieth
birthday was celebrated They all re
port a fine time

Registrar For Bartley and Vicinity
Dr J W Arbogast has been appoint
ed local registrar for this section of the
country to carry out the provisions of
the law passed by the last legislature
which provides for the registration of
all births and deaths and the issuing of
burial permits in this state The law
provided that physicans must report
all births and deaths to the local recis
trar If in case no physician was in at
tendance then it must be reported by
the person in attendance After a cer
tificate of death has been filed and sign
ed by the undertaker or sexton of the
cemetery then the registrar shall issue a
burial permit In case of the removal
of a body a removal permit must be
issued to the transportation company
and attached to box containing the
body The penalty for violating this
law is not less than 81000 or more than
10000 or imprisonment for not more
than 60 days or to both fine and im
prisonment at the discretion of the
court This law took effect October 1st

New York Wednesday of last week It
will be recalled that Mr Roberson failed
to fill his date with the McCook junior
