Volcanic Gap Bicyclist All But Over Shot the Incline DARE DEVIL RIDER HURLED FROM HIS WHEEL His injuries Not Serious and He With Other Sensational Performers Will Fill Their Engagement in our City A thrilling climax was put on the car nival Thursday night by tho introduc tion to the patrons of the big show of Miracle Milo leaping the volcanic gap in the Romanic Hippodrome This big featuro was announced for the entire week but a new gap had to be secured and it only arrived yesterday The performance was a very trying one to the dare devil bicycle rider as tho new gap was altogether different from the old one and he was entirely unfamiliar with it While he passed through the ordeal without serious in jury Milo was thrown violently to the ground after his bicycle leap across the yawning chasm and received painful bruises As it was tho first leap on the new gap it was more or less an experiment It turned out that the gap was not broad enough for Milo in his hurricane race down the incline went over the gap with such momentum that he all bi t leaped clear beyond the twelve foot platform about thirty feet from where tho leap was made It was muddy at tho end of tho platform and tho bicycle and its rider went down Attendance rushed to the daring performer He was stunned by the impact with the ground but soon recovered The act made a strong impression on the spectators The
