as congratulating themselves upon escaping so easily An addition to the present depot and headquarters building is one of the necessities of the near future The plan is to increase the room by adding on to the north wing now serving as the sup erintendents private office upstairs and the battery room downstairs When the addition is completed there will be a general rearrangement of the upper story of the building Among other moves the telegraph -room will be en larged taking in the two small rooms now occupied by the trainmasters and the force of the timekeepers depart ment This is an imperative move as the telegraph force is laboring under dis advantages and positive discomforts in their present cramped and poorly ven tilated quarters The superintendent will fall heir to the new part of the building upstairs and the relief depart ment will be located on the ground floor of the addition The timekeepers will move back into the east end of the building together with the trainmast ers The superintendents clerical force will be located in the room now occu pied by the superintendent as his private office This will relieve the present ne cessities of the case but a larger and better adapted and more modern build ing will eventually be built if the busi ness of the company shall increase as it has during the past few years BANKSVILLE A M Benjamin is harvesting
