Good farming such ns 19 practiced by
tho most skillful and successful farmers
of Red Willow County is not a matter
of chance or opportunity but largely n
result of study and special and general
education The best farmers are con-
stantly in touch with the progress of ag
riculture everywhere and are quick to
adopt all real improvements and slow
to take up fads Tho beat way to know
both the good and the bad is to read an
ably edited farm paper like Tho Home
stead of Des Moines Iowa a paper con
ducted by practical farmers living on
their own farms with departments do
voted to every branch of farm and home
industry employing the ablest experi
ment station workers and writers of tho
West to discuss important topics
and presenting each week all that a
farmer needs to know of his calling Tho
Homestead is a grand paper for both the
reader and tho advortizer because jt is
so good a paper and read by so many
farmers of the best class The Tribune
is always pleased to forward subscrip
tions for this excellent farm journal
