returned home the latter part of last
week from their visit with relatives in
Dubuque Iowa
The infant child of Mr and Mrs
Harry Folfeom died Tuesday evening
after a lingering sickness and was buried
Wednesday afternoon
Mr and Mrs Eugene Wilcox came in
on No 2 Sunday morning from Cripple
Creek Colorado on a visit to her mother
Mrs Rankin for a fewweeks
Miss Rozell of Lincoln who has been
visiting her sister Mrs F C Smith for
some time departed Tuesday evening
for California where she will make her
future home
Last Saturday the old settlers of the
town and vicinity held a picnic at the
fair grounds All came with their bas
kets well filled and a royal good time
was reported by all present
Mrs W H Powell and son Francis
accompanied by her sister-in-law Mrs
Mary Fulton went down to Cambridge
Tuesday morning and spent the day
with friends returning home in the eve
ning
F E Morrison A C Pearson and
Ed Smith employees of the Colorado
Iron and Fuel Company came in on No
14 Sunday evening from Denver and
attended the funeral of Rob Welborn

Joe Carmichael and Miss May Ander
son were united in marriage Thursday
morning at 7 oclock at the Catholic
church Father Lute officiating The
young people departed for Cambridge to
spend the day with relatives They
will live on the Carmichael farm a fewt
miles northwest of town
Death loves a shining mark was
verified in the death of Robert Welborn
last Saturday at the hospital in Pueblo
Colo His mother and brother were at
his bedside in his last hours His body
was brought to this place for burial
Rev Crippen preached a touching and
beautiful sermon Many lovely tokens
of respect was in evidence The coffin
being banked with roses and other rare
and lovely blossoms His father mother
sister and brother with many friends re
main to mourn his death

On last Saturday Roy Coleman re
ceived a brand new watch from his papa
as a birthday gift He is very proud of
it and thinks his papa is just the kind
est and best papa in America He would
like his birthday to come twice a year
for ho knows papa always has some
thing for him
Billy Nusbbaum and his mother
his brother Robert and wife of Frontier
county attended Sunday school and
preaching at the Coleman school house
last Sunday and then all bioke bread at
the Coleman home They all attended
Epworth League at i oclock in the af
ternoon Billy is the blind singing
teacher who had a class at the Coleman
school house last winter On last Sab
bath evening his class met at the home
of Mr and Mrs J W Corner and for
more than two hours made the house
ring with sweet sacred songs As he
goes out to Washington soon that was
in all probability the last time the class
and teacher will meet this side of the
great eternity May the whole class
