In February 1901 Sam John sold his farm and
moved back to Iowa He is back hero now and
has routed the V Smith farm This is the
fourth time he has moved liore from Iowa
During the series of meetings at the Coleman
school house nearly every jouug person in the
neighborhood was converted anil united with
the church The meetings closed last Saturday
Miss Maud Coleman who is attending school
McCook spent four days at the old farmstead
last week On Thursday some of the neighbors
called and spent this day with her The follow

transaction of the business hereinafter stated

Petition of Win Nelson Downs and others
asking for a public road was read and consid
ered The Board linds that all owners of land
along line of proposed road have given consent
thereto in writing On motion same was
granted establishing a public road as follows
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the
Northwest quarter of section twenty township
two North range eight West 6th P M thence
West one and one half miles to Northwest cor
ner of section nineteensaid town ship and range
and terminating thereat and clerk was in
structed to notify overseers of highway to open
said road
Petition of W T Henton and others asking
for the location af a public road read and con
sidered the Board find that all the require
ments of the law have been complied with On
motion petition granted and road estab
lihed as follow Commencing at a point on
section line at the south end of bridge about 6
rods north of the quarter section line running
oast and west s ud section line between the
Northeast Ti of ectinn IN and the Northwest 1
section 17 town 1 range twenty eeu thence in
a Southeasterly cour e about 6S rods to a point
