-Does It Pay to Buy Cheap ?
A cheap remedy for coughs and colds is all
rright , but you want something that will relieve
and cure the more severe and dangerous re
sults of throat and lung troubles. What shall
you do ? Go to a warmer and more regular
climate ? Yes , if possible ; if not possible for
you , then in either case take the only remedy
that has been introduced in all civilized coun
tries with success in severe throat and lung
troubles , "Boschee's German Syrup. " It not
only heals and stimulates the tissues to des
troy the germ dtsease.but allays inflammation ,

Whooping Cough.
A woman who has had experience with the
disease , tells how to prevent any dangerous
consequences from it. She says : "Our. three
children took whooping cough last summer ,
' our baby boy being only three months old ,
and owing to our giving them Chamberlain's
Cough Remedy , they lost none of their plump
ness and came out in much better health than
'Other children whose parents did not use this
Temedy. Our oldest little girl would call
lustily for cough syrup between whoops.

Question Answered.
Yes , August Flower still has the larges1
sale of any medicine in the civilized world
Your mothers and grandmothers never
thought of using anything else for indigestion
or biliousness. Doctors were scarce , and they
seldom heard of appendicitis , nervous pros
tration or heart failure , etc. They used Au
gust Flower to clean out the system and stop
fermentation of undigested food , regulate the
action of the liver , stimulate the nervous and
organic action of the system , and that is all
they took when feeling dull and bad with
headaches and other aches. You only need a
few doses of Green's August Flower , in liquid
form , to make you satisfied there is nothing
serious the matter with you. Get Green's
Prize Almanac. A. McMillen.

An Extensive Stock Raiser Tells How-
to Cure Scours in Calves.
Wm. Abbott , of Tyndall , S. D. , quite an ex
tensive stock raiser , has for a number of years
used Chamberlain's Colic , Cholera and Diarr
hoea Remedy for scours in calves and says he
has never known it to fail. He gives a teaspoonful -
spoonful in water as directed on the bottle
for an adult man , after each operation of the
bowels morejthan natural. Usually one dose
is sufficient. "For sale by McConnell & Berry.

Sciatic Rheumatism. Cured After
Fourteen Years oT Suffering.
"I have been afflicted with sciatic rheuma
tism for fourteen years , " says Josh Edgar , of
Germantown , Ga. "I was able to be around
but constantly suffered. I tried everything I
could hear of and at last was told to try
Chamberlain's Pain Balm , which I did and
was immediately relieved and in a short time
cured , and I am happy to say it has not since
returned. " Why not use this liniment and

Too Many Mothers Mored by Motives of
Mistaken Delicacy.
"I have no patience , " said a com
fortable matron , "with the Idea that
girls In early life should be caged np
like canaries. Neither , of course , do I
believe tbat entire freedom of action
should be accorded the young people ,
except in cases where the girls are
ifted with a greater share of sound
sense than usually falls to the lot of
young members of my sex. It is easily
possible to strike the happy medium ,
and I think I may claim to have met
with some success in that direction. "
! onsidering that three of her daugh
ters are happily married the matron's
claim was readily allowed by her au
ditors , and she continued : "It is my
firm conviction that parents who are
n constant dread lest someone will
think that they are anxious to marry
their daughters are as indelicate as
those who are constantly on the look
out for sons-in-law. I am not sure but
they do more harm in the world. For
tunately there may not be many of
hem , but there are some. It is one of
he 5rmly planted laws of human na-
ure , and that , in fact , answers all the
questions about matrimonial inconsist
encies. Doctors say nowadays that
whooping cough , measles and so-called
children's diseases are not necessary
evils tq be gone through and got rid of. i
hildren take them because their sys-
ems are not strong enough to resist
hem. But matrimony is not a dis-
ase. Daughters cannot be made germ
proof by isolation. It is a pretty
bought that the fairy prince will come
: o Cinderella sitting In the ashes , but
t is an actual fact that the Cinderella B
the fairy tale would have been Cin
derella in the ashes to the end of her Pi
ays if she had not gone to the ball. se
Rational ideas of cause and effect are
s good in general life as in education di
or medicine. If the girl is not allowed
&
to meet the fairy prince she Is liable
to take up with any housebreaker who J y
comes in at the window , or else she
becomes one of those silly creatures Bin
who see a lover in every man they
in
meet , from the minister to the milk
man , and talk of them continually. " athi
