John Ilesterworth and I. H. Wasson have
each rented part ofV. . S. Fitch's farm for
next year.
Mr. and Mrs. Abram Myers of Frontier
county were Monday visitors of this vicinity ,
the guests of Mrs. C. H. Jacobs.
The new house of I. II. Wasson is rapidly
nearing completion when finished this will be
one of the finest r.long Driftwood.

Julia Sly , who is attending school in Mc
Cook , spent Sunday at home.
Our young people expect to celebrate

The revival meetings at the school-house
are now in progress , with good attendance.
Your correspondent is in receipt of a letter
announcing the recent death of Mrs. Thankful
King , wife of an old soldier , Arthur T. King.
These old people formerly lived north of Mc
Cook for a number of years , and afterwards
moved to Indianota , and from there to Grand
Island , where they went to the soldiers' home ,
on account of old age and poor health. Many
old settlers will learn with regret of the death
of this estimable old lady.
