A tasteful appearance in dress often comes as much from good laundering as from the quality of the clothing. Good laundering requires good soap and Ivory Soap is the best. The fading of delicate shades is frequently the ruination of an expensive garment. Any color that will stand the free application of water can be washed with Ivory Soap. . S fp fhn Onllf There are dozens of remedies recommended for id h.rj Usllj Scrofula , some of them no doubt being able to afford temporary relief , but S. S. S. is absolutely finsi * 'l ihlQ the only remedy which completely cures it. ijU&l IU UUO Scrofula is one of the most obstinate , deep-seated blood diseases , and is beyond the reach of the many so-called purifiers and tonics because something - thing more than a mere tonic is required. S.S.H. is equal to any blood trouble , and never fails to cure Scrofula , because it goes down to the seat of the disease , thus permanently eliminating every trace of the taint. The serious consequences to which Scrofula surely leads should impress upon those afflicted with it the vital im portance of wasting no time upon treatment which can not possibly effect a cure. In many cases where the wrong treatment has been relied upon , complicated glandular swellings have resulted , for which the doctors insist that a dangerous surgical operation is necessary. Mr. H. E. Thompson , of Milledgeville , Ga. , writes : "A bad case of Scrofula broke out on the glands of my neck , which had to be lanced and caused me much suffering. I was treated for a long while , but the physicians were un able to cure me , and my condition was as bad as when I began their treatment. Many blood remedies were used , but without effect. Some one recommended S. S. S. , and I began to improve as soon as I had taken a few bottles. Continuing the remedy , I was soon cured permanently , and have never had a sign of the disease to return. " Swift's Specific is the only remedy which can promptly reach and cure obstinate , deep-seated blood diseases. Ey relying upon it , and not experimenting with the various -o-called tonics , etc. . r.il sufferers from blood troubles can be promptly cured , instead of enduring j i-irs of suffering which gradually but surely undermines the constitution. Let us quote a few sentences from the wise : "Shall the throne of iniquity have fellow ship with thee , which frameth mischief by Jaw. " Bible ; Psalms 94:20. "Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood , and establisheth a city by iniquity. " Bible ; Hab. 2:12. "Many people die from the effect of alcohol without suspecting the cause. If alcohol cannot be legalized without sin , why is it the masses of professing Christians , who are striving to convert the sinner and lead no , direct for one who will vote to legalize alcohol can not lead one in the spirit ual path , for sin dwelleth not in righteousness. Therefore , licensed alcohol tends to effect financially , physically , mentally , morally and spiritually. What is left for the youth of to day to build on from his surroundings ? And who made it thus ? Let our conscience answer this. The best citizenship can be obtained only by having the government reach the highest principle ot success as a nation financially , physically , mentally and morally , caluminativey in the saved man spiritually. A strong physique can only be developed by surrounding it with the things most con- conducive to its health and least injurious to its enlargement of life.
