    SMALL SPOT
MAY BE CANCER.
MOST VIOLENT GASES HAVE _ _ The greatest care should be given to
any little sore , pimple or scratch which
shows no disposition to heal under ordin-
AT PIRQT AQ ary treatment. No one can tell how soon these
nt riilul no will develop into Cancer of the worst type.
So many people die from Cancer simply be
cause they do not know just what the disease is ;
they naturally turn themselves over to the doctors ,
and are forced to submit to a cruel and dangerous
operation the only treatment which the doctors know for Cancer. The disease
promptly returns , however , and is even more violent and destructive than
before. Cancer is a deadly poison in the blood , and an operation , plaster , or
othiT external treatment can have no effect whatever upon it. The cure must
come from within the last vestige of poison must be eradicated.
Mr. Wm Walpole , of Walshtown S D , says : "A
little blotch about the size of a pea came under my left
eye gradually growing larger , from which shooting pains
at intervals ran in all direct'ons 1 became greatly alarmed
and consulted si good doctor , who pronounced it Cancer ,
and advised that it be cut out , but this I could not con
sent to. I read in my local paper of a cure effected by
S S. S. . and decided to try it. It noted like a charm , the
Cancer becoming nt first irritated , and then discharging
„ very freely. This gradually grew less and then discontinued -
tinued altogether , leaving a small scab which soon dropped -
| pod off and now only a healthy little scar remains where
7 what threatened to destroy my life once held full sway. "
Positively the only cure for Cancer is Swift's Specific
S. FOR THE BLOOD
because it is the only remedy which can go deep enough to reach the root of
the disease and force it out of the system permanently. A surgical operation
does not reach the bood | the real seat of the disease because the blood can
not be cut aicay. Insist upon S. 8. S. ; nothing can tak < > its pi ice.
S. S. S. _ cures alao any case of Scrofula. Eczema. Rheumatism. Contagious
Blood Poison , Ulcer * , Sores , or any other form of blood disease. Valuable
books on Cancer and Blood Diseases will be mailed free to any address by
Swift Specific Company , Atlanta. Georgia.

I wish to impress upon the minds ol
all teachers of joung people's societies
in our church wotk , to more fully inter
weave the temperance wotk with the
teachings of the gospel. When we be
come aroused to the fact that at the least
calculation 72 per cent of all crimes com
mitted are caused from the vile effects of
liquor , it lays the responsibility that
much heavier on us teachers to imbue
in the minds of the rising generation the
evil effects of intemperance. We are
intrusted with these young minds to cul
tivate and train as God would have them ,
but there is more than one way of sinning ,
and.the , sin of intemperance holds in
bondage more human lives than any one
sin. Let us unite in one accord and
strive to do our duty in its fullest capa
city , that there may never be said , "They
never taught us of the evils of intemper
ance. "
* *
Mr Moody says that no man has been
in the liquor business for twenty years
who hasn't a skeleton in the closet of his
home.
* *
There is no poverty , no buffering , very
little crime and .10 strife between labor
and capital at the little town of Boliver ,
fifty-eight miles from Pittsburg. The
two hundred and fifty men who are em
ployed in brick-making have not allowed
any saloons there for thiity years.
* *
One important step necessary in driv
ing out the saloon is for temperance
workers to unite , as far * as practicable ,
instead of being divided into factions ,
at war with each other.
