LEBANON.
Camp-meeting is still in progress.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. llupp were Lebanon
visitors , Sunday.
William Schmidt and Laura Gut were mar
ried in McCook , Tuesday. Here's to them.
Lebanon Methodists have already raised
over a thousand dollars with which to build a
new church , and expect to largely increase
that sum , and put up a fine house of worship.
The heavy floods of earlier in the summer ,
with the attendant loss of stock , decaying
animal and vegetable life , are doubtless re
sponsible for the unusual prevalence of fever
in the Beaver valley , just now.
The Lebanon team defeated the Norcatur
club , last Thursday , in a warm game of ball.
Pete Vancleave and Vern Rice of Wilsonville
composed the invincible battery for the home
team. The score was 14 to 6. This Thurs
day , the home team will play the Wilsonville
club.

ous meeting read and approved.
The following damages by reason of the
location of the road herein after set forth ,
were examined by the board , and on motion
approved , and the overseers of road districts
where said road is located were directed to
pay the same out of any funds belonging to
said road districts , as by law directed , to the
ollowing persons , to-wit :

Dispatcher R. B. Simmons and two of
the children went down to Omahu ,
Wednesday night , on a short visit to his

COUNTY COURT.
License to marry was granted William
Schmidt and Lana Gut , Tuesday. They
were married by the county judge at the
St. Charles hotel , the same day. The
happy couple came from the Lebanon
neighborhood.
In the case of the State of Nebraska
vs. C. C. Smith on complaint of William
Brandt , the defendant plead guilty and
WBS fined $2 and costs.

The postoffice department is contem
plating the introduction of a new form
of postal money order. It will be made
to conform to the size of an ordinary
bank check , and the marginal figures
heretofore printed on the order will no
longer be used. A receipt will also be
given the remitter at the time of the
purchase of the order. The new form
will be much more convenient for hand
ling by the people and the banks , and
will be introduced about September isth ,
Kate Beudewald and Celia Wagner are
both sufferers from typhoid fever. Both
were late employes of the Commercial
house , and were taken ill while there. A
son of W. A. Kipp is also affected simi
larly.
Wireless telegraph , chainless bicycles ,
boneless ham. First thing we know we
shall have hairless butter. We already
have cowless milk.
Stayner's drum corps will go down to
Wymore , next Tuesday , on contract , to
play there during reunion on the 22d ,
23d and 24th.
