In the matter of the bids for furnishing rooms for county officers , according to adver tisement of May 3d , 1899 : The bid of James McAdams , being the low est and best , was on motion accepted , con tract for the faithful performance of said work entered into , and contract , bond ami specifications 01 dered filed and kept in tht county clerk's office. Belles and Robinson voting yes , Crabtree voting no , giving as his reason for so voting , that the board of count ) commissioners have no right to appropriate any of the county funds to aid m the erection of a public builiiing , without first making an estimate at the time required by law , covering the amount to be appropriated for said build ing , and furthermore that at the time said court house was received by the commission ers there was a debt of 8400 oo or S5 < xxoc on said building , and if the boaid can appro priate $1,500.00 , as the statutes give them a right to appropriate , the said § 400.00 or $50000 is to be paid from the § 1,500.00 appropriated On motion the county clerk was instructed to approve the bond of James McAdams foi the faithful performance of his contract ir furnishing rooms for county officers.
