The advisory board of the Western
Passenger association recommends that
a bonus of $2.50 be paid for each ticket
found by a conductor in wrong hands.
This would be a snap for the conductors
and in a year or so they would be living
in palaces and driving six white horses
tandem. There is considerable opposi
tion to the scheme , as the opposers main
tain that the conductors would get too
ambitious and the result would be dam
age suits. Yet those who favor the
scheme say that the conductors would be
more watchful and would be careful that
no illegal ticket went through. It is
needless , perhaps , to add the conductors
to a man , are heartily in favor of the
proposition.

HOW TO PREVENT PNEUMONIA.
At tins lime of the year a cold is very easily
contracted , and if left to run its course without
the aid of some reliable cough medicine is lia
ble to result in that dread diseasepneumonia.
We know of no better remedy to cure a cougher
or cold than Chamberlain's Cough Remedy.
We have used it quite extensively and it has
always given entire satisfaction. Olagah , Ind
Ter. Chief. This is the only remedy that is
known to be a certain preventive of pneumo
nia. Among the many thousands who have
used it for colds and la grippe , we have never
yet learned of a single case having resulted in
pneumonia. Persons who have weak lungs or
have reason to fear an attack of pneumonia ,
should keep the remedy at hand. The 25 and
50 cent sizes for sale by L. W. McConnell &
Co. , Druggists.
After hearing some friends continually
praising Chamberlain's Colic , Cholera and
Diarrheea Remedy , Curtis Fleck of Anaheim ,

use and is now as enthusiastic over its won
derful work as anyone can be. The 25 and
50 cent sizes for sale by L. W. McConnell &
Co. , Druggists.
