r ' " ~ N i Fremont Society V_ y Fremont, Neb., Feb. 2*.—The com mittee for the ladles' day program I at the Elk* club next Tuesday will J consist of the following; Mrs. Carrol I Oourtrlght, chairman; Mrs. Henry C. Christensen. Mrs. XV. E. Durkee, Mrs. Bernard Eddy, Mrs. R. H. Fletcher. Mrs. Jay Barrett and Mrs. Clarence C'uslck. Mrs. L. C. XVlcks entertained a party of friends Friday at luncheon, while Mrs. Adolph Topp was hostess at a dinner party. Next Tuesday Mrs. Alfred Christen sen will give a luncheon. On the fol lowing Friday Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hawley will entertain a number of friends at dinner. Mr. and Mrs. l'nn V. Stephens were hosts to the Current Topic club tills evening. A dinner preceded the weekly discussions. Members of the Senior Auction club will gather at the home of Mrs. Ray Rogers on Monday evening. The Northsld* club will hold its meeting next week with Mrs. H. S. Murphy. Mrs. Lee Martyn entertained at a delightful colonial party on Tuesday afternoon in honor of Mrs. George Batzle of Rochester, N. T. Mrs. Batzle , Is a former Fremonter, having resld- j ed here when her husband was pastor I of th* Baptist church here. She Is visiting at ths Martyn horns 1n Fre mont while en route to Los Angeles, where she boards ship for Japan. She will return to the states in time to attend the national Baptist conven tion at Seattle In June. Forty-five guests attended the Martyn party, ar riving in costumes, varied and clever. Mrs. Sam Maxwell, attired as Aaron Burr, won first prize for costumes Mrs. Ora Patton won second prize with hoc costume of a colonial dame. A buffet supper was served at S. Old-fashioned costumes featured the meeting of the C. & N. XV. X\ onv an s club XX'ednesday at the home of Mrs. Sam McClaren. Mrs. X'an Horn and Mrs. Henry Kexroth were guests of the club. XVashlngton birthday favors featured the table decoration* at A two-course supper. Dr. Iva Lee Keim was elected dele gate Of the Fremont Altrusa club to attend the national convention to be held In Omaha during th* latter part of April. Tueeday evening the club members dined at th# TJndstrom Inn and then went to the home of Miss Alma Benton for a business session and social evening. Mrs. Royal Brewster of Lincoln was a special guest of ths Flower Mission club when th* members were entertained st the horn# of Mrs. II. i r>. Muir. Mr*. Luther iJtrson cap- I tured first honors st bridge. Mrs John Sonin will entertain the next meeting of the club. Mi s .1. J. Funk was hostess to the XX'hatsoevers Tuesday, ssslsted by Mrs. George Nagle and Mrs. Ralph Johnson. A trout 30 members enjoyed tli* Kensington and guessing contests and lunch.
