Danger from Uasslan fly, <lry weather ami chinch bug* delayed tlie seeding. The immediate vicinity of Stella In Richardson county has not had a soaking rain since before the middle of July. Some parts of tho county have had good rains in the meantime, a three-inch rain being reported last week at Iiulo, in tlie extreme south eastern part of the county. Dry weather and chinch birgs have made tlie corn crop only about half tlie normal yield. The general e«tl mate is for an average of about 23 bushels to the acre, some fields going as high ns 10 bushels. HIGH PRICE PAID FOR CLOVER SEED Stella, Neb., Oct. 3.—The average price of clover seed is large in south eastern Nebraska this year, thougt the yield is not heavy, being onlj about a bushel and a quarter to th. acre.
