Neb., April 23—The propoaed state highway project, known In northeast Nebraska aa the "River Route," has been mapped out and recently the plana hava been approved by tho state engineer. The highway will extend from South Sioux City to Niobrara, panning through tackson, Ponca. Newcastle, Maakell, Obert, ATvnot, Fordyce and Crofton. Work on the project will begin this summer. The buyer was President Jefferson, •acting for the United States. The present site of Omaha is a part of the historic “Louisiana Purchase," whereby the United States acquired the entire central part of this country. The average price was 2 cents an acre.
