Yellow Cab One of Omaha’s Necessary Aids The uses of the modern taxi cab are as numerous as the leaves on a tree. It is a business necessity, a residential necessity and a personal necessity'. Taxi-cabs were formerly ir responsible hangers-on at depots and hotels. For a dozen excellent rea sons, it was risky to use them, particularly at night. Today they are an inalienable part of the city's social, professional and business life—and the foremost factors in modern local transportation. They are a boon to every member of the family—a great boon to strangers unfamiliar with tile city. They are at once a carrier and a guide, a personal attendant and a protec tor. In the old days strangers were at the mercy of bandits and confidence men. That danger has been removed by the modern taxi-cab. For when strangers arrive in Omaha and step into a YELLOW CAB they%re as safe as if personally under the care of an officer. Passengers have behind them the organized, moral and financial responsibility of a vast or ganization. They are driven by men chosen for their honesty, decency and reliability. Instead of paying outrageous and arbitrary fares, they pay the lowest rates in Omaha, which are constantly displayed by an accu rate fare register which gives a printed receipt. Thus, by receiving and car ing for strangers within our gates, the modem taxi-cab has become one of the right arms of Omaha.
