Bossie and ife" Can t Leave Ship: Cancel Passports Photo Identified for State De partment hy Secretary to Congressman Sears — Wireless Sent. i'auhp Bossie. former city clerk, v ho left Omaha and deserted his wife recently, is already close to the toils of the federal law. He and his "wife ’ are on board t he Majestic, bound for Cherbourg. France. The captain of that vessel 'va? notified by wireless at noon Wednesday to keep the *t>air under surveillance and government opera tives at Cherbourg were notified to t. ke passports from them on their arrival there Friday. It means vthat they will not lie al lowed to land but will have to re main on the Majestic while It touches at Southampton. England, and then returns to New York where it is due January 29. Married East Month. This information came by long dis tance telephone to The Omaha Bee from Washington. At the State department Wednes day morning was found Bossie s ap 1 lieittion for passports, bearing pic tures of himself and the other woman. The application stated they had been married last month. It gave France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria as countries to be visited. State department officials said they wore waiting for identification of Bos sie before proceeding to take action. The correspondent telephoned to Jack Fee, secretary to Congressman Sears. Fee came to the State department at once and made positive identifies tion of the photograph of Bossie. James Tracy of the State depart ment said federal officers will meet the Majestic when it docks In New York and take Bossie. Charges which may be filed may be either false dec laration on application for passports or violation of the Mann act. he said. The Majestic sailed from New York' last Saturday. “Good:” Cries Wife. "Good, good:" exclaimed Mrs. Bos sie when informed of the govern ment action by a reporter for The Evening Bee. "Now I will surely get after him. He will be sorry," she said. “That's the best news I have had in a long time. The Omaha Bee sure works fast." Mrs. Bossie stated that she would see County Attorney Henry Beal Wednesday afternoon and have him forward a warrant to New York po lice. who are expected to serve It on Bossie the moment he sets foot on American soil. “Will you prosecute him?” she was asked. "I should say I will, and there won't be any let up," she replied. Mrs. Bossie swore out a complaint Wednesday morning in th ecounty attorney's office, charging her hus band with wife desertion. Tired of Forgiving. Mrs. liossie Wednesday morning consulted with L'nited States Attor Noble Who Won New \ ork Heiress * Is Sheik of Many Love Scandals _y__ By l nhertal hfMiff, Vienna, Jan. 16.—Tiio marriage of Count Von Salm Hodgstraeten to the Rogers heiress in New York is the sensation of Vienna society, which re members the count onty too well. His dashing meteoric career is like a. red streak across society annals here. It. is littered as much with his love adventures with numerous ladies as it is with fights and brawls which made him known as a figure in all the fashionable cafes and hotels in Vienna and Berlin Though the count .s now socially boycotted to a large extent, ho has still numerous friends and even some admirers, especially among a group of women whose Idol he has been for it long time. Of handsome appearance, amiable to friends, with the faultless manners of the old aristocratic family, a bill liant tennis player, a fluent conversa tionalist in seven languages, he was much sought after socially until his irresponsibility in constancy, irrita bility. and even pugnaciousnass made him feared until the social bars were erected against him. The most sensational of the es capades of the count now recalled was his encounter with the Hungatian premier. Count Michael Karolyl, in a \ienna cafe, when he slapped the face of the venerable statesman. Count Karolyl had ;ust turned the r.ey Kinsler and Edward Byrne of the bureau of investigation, depart ment of justice, in the federal build ing here regarding what she could do. At that time ahe had not heard of the developments in Washington and the reported presence of her fu gitive husband on the Majestic. She declared, however, that she was tired of forgiving treatment and ready to take stern measures. "I have became adamant as far as my husband is concerned,” she said. “He will find he is up against the rock of Gibraltar with me. He de serted his first wife and now ht has tried the same thing wth me.” Mrs. Bossie looked attractive In a dark suit, trimmed with brown fur, and a red velvet hat over her curly black hair. "Are you going back on the stage now to earn a living for yourself?" she was asked. Doesn’t Want Divorce. “No, I’m afraid I can't do that," she replied with a wan smile. “My health has been shattered and my nerves are had. No, I will just have to tind some little thing to do. That is all.” "Are you going to get a divorce?" "No. you may be certain 1 shall not do that. I don't believe in divorce and he won't get his freedom from me." "Would you take him back if he comes back?" She shook her head emphatically In the negative “Anyway I don't believe he will ever come back voluntarily to face the music." Mrs. Bossie said she understood that he has married the other woman. When told that was Impossible as long as he Is her husband, she said: "Well, he is too foxy to do anything that might get him Into trouble." Set yourself straight on these Bran facts! If you eat bran it is because you seek relief from constipation and toxic poisoning! To get the relief your physician prill tell you that bran will give—you must be certain to get Kellogg's Bran, BECAUSE it is ALL BRAN! That is the kind your physician intends you to eat. You only delay positive relief when you eat foods with a partlal bran content, because they can only help you in proportion to the amount of bran they contain! You haven’t time to waste on 25 per cent or 50 per cent relief when you know that Kellogg’s Bran will give you 100 per cent relief BECAUSE IT IS ALL BRAN! Every day’s delay lets your condition be come worse! Pills and cathartics can only aggravate distressing conditions. Part bran foods cannot permanently help you! They do not have the necessary bulk or roughage that makes ALL BRAN positive in its median* ical action! That is why Kellogg’s Bran is a necessity! Kellogg's Bran—because it is ALL BRAN— is GUARANTEED to give you permanent relief if you will eat two tanlespoonfuls each day, or as much with each meal in chronic cases! If you would realize how delicious Kellogg's Bran is—cooked, krumbled and ready to eat —and what it means to your health—you would not lose a minute starting to eat it! All grocers sell Kellogg’s Bran in the Red and Green package. C&unt'j&itn-vcn Hungarian government to the com munist. Bela Kun. Count Von Salm Hoogstraeten as a passionate monar chist, thought It his duty to avenge this political act. Afterward he had other numerous similar encounters with socialists. The count never made any secret of his political opinions, even boasting of them, though he was never active politically himself. Among his adventures with women It is recalled that two of his escapades took place in hotels in Berlin where he spent considerable time in earlier days. In the year 1921 lie was caught with a married woman in one of Berlin's leading hotels. The discovery of the couple was followed by a fight in the hotel bar after which he was told he would have to leave the hotel unless he behaved. In May, 1922, he arrived at another Berlin hotel with a party of friends. In this paity were two New York women. A hilarious wine party fol lowed which ended in a general fight, when one of the male members of the party tr ed to invade the bedroom of one of the New York girls. She was badly injured and the men were ex pelled from the hotel, but the affair was kept quiet. (Copyright. t»24.) By I'nlversal Senlrf.
