Telegraph Office Columbus, Neb., Sept. 27.—Herbert Hahn, secretary of the chamber of commerce, announced that the organi zation was planning action at once -to obtain for Columbus a commercial office of the Western Union Telegraph company. Mr. Hahn declared that the volume of business was so heavy at the depot office that the business meh had been complaining of delayed messages, both in and out of the city, and that the men at the depot had told him they would be glad to be relieved of the commercial business. Columhus-Richland Power Line Nearly Completed Columbus, Sept. 27.—Construction of the transmission line by which the Columbus Light, Heat and Power company will supply the village of Richland, six miles east of here, with electricity, is rapidly nearing comple tion. Add one cup of sugar for every two cups of juice; stir until the sugar is dissolved; boil briskly for five minutes; skim, and pour into glass tumblers, porcelain or crockery molds. Cranberry Sauce One quart cranberries, two cups boiling water, 1 Yi to 2 cups sugar. Boil sugar and water together for five minutes; skim; add the cranberries and boil without stirring (five minutes is usually sufficient) until all the skins are broken. Remove from the fire when the popping stops. Cook cranberries in porcelain ' lined, enameled or aluminum I vessels—never in tin.
