Beatrice Fairfax PROBLEMS THAT PERPLEX. Marrying In Hasle. Dear Miss Fairfax: Some time ago I met a young man and introduced him to my parents. My mother does not seem to like him. But he is ask ing me to marry him and go away with him. and 1 love this young man. hut do not ka*fw whether to tell my parents for. fear they may not like the attitude I have taken. I am 22 and this young man i* 23 and conies from out of town. MAE AA'. Get s little more perspective on this matter. Perhaps your mother's protective instinct is light and time will justify It. Perhaps the man can win her over. Get to know him better, and put yourself on a basis of friendly honesty with your people. Tell your mother how fond you are of the man, and that you rtant her to study him fairly and see if her prejudice is not wrong. Tour people will respect your attitude, and it will protect you from blundering rashly and stubbornly Into what might prove a great unhappiness. M. H. P You could wear brown and yellow well, probably, and blue. Certain shades of pink or green would be becoming. I wouldn't wear much red. Tour skirts should be about nine or 1(1 inches from the ground. The bob is still In vogue and if yoyi parents don't object you might bob your hair. You have plenty of time yet to let It grow out again. Itonnle: Some people remove the hair from under the arms by shaving Other remedies for removing the hair -THE NEBBS- ADDING INSULT TO INJURY.
