Stevens Is Re-Elected AO.ILW. Grand Master Special Itiepntcli to Tlte Omnlm Be«. Grand Island, Neb., May 9.—The Grand lodge of. the A. O. U. W. elected John Stevens of Beaver City grand master for the fourth time. II. B. Rousey. Grand Island, was elected recorder; W. T. Gould, Kfm Creek, inumber of the finance committee; H. K. Kinke, Grand island, treasurer; E. Breuklander,' Valentino, grand fore man. and Oliver U. Hedge, Red Cloud, watchman. Grand Island was chosen on tho first ballot for the next bi ennial convention. The auditing committee found the $650,000 reserve invested in first class brtnds Three-fourths of the assessment paid by new members dur ing the coming year was appropri a ted for additional promotion work. Fifth Floor - West Nebraska City Farmer Buries Liquor in Field Nebraska City, Neb., May 9.--.John Iteford, charged with illegal posses sion of liquor and sale on two counts, making tlie third and fourth offenses, was bound over to the district court here. Charles Graham, arrested in Onialia and returned hero lo face charges of illegal possession and >alc of liquor, was found guilty on both counts and fined $200 and gtven a jail sentence of 90 days. Frank Stuart' was arrested, when lie went to a field to dig up a bottle of booze hidden there and which a deputy sheriff had been guarding for several days. Stuart broke the bottle he had dug up, when the officer ap proached him. but three other bottles found in the excavation in the field will be used as evidence. 33 1-3 Per Cent Gain Here in Construction of Houses Thu first four months of this year show an Increase of 3:113 per cent over the same period of last year In the construction of dwellings.
