R Shreve plemled guilty to a charge of Illegal possession of liquor in fed oral court yesterday and was fined $1. A Jury which heard her case last summer was unable to agree. Hear “Pep Artist”—Foster-Barker company gave a luncheon Thursday nooil at Hotel Home for their sale's force, and about 150 guests, at which J. Lester Hirsch, the "pep artist,” spoke. Honored by Balloonists — Gould Dietz has received word of his ap pointment as governor at large of the Aeronautical Society of the United States. Receiver Appointed — Charles H. Johns was appointed yesterday liy Judge Day In district court to be re ceiver for the Douglas County Motor corporation. Missing Boy Heard F'rom—Allwine Marble, 16, missing since last Satur day, Is in Los Angeles, according to word received yesterday by bis fath er, Dr. K. E. Marble. Garth MrGee Sought—The West ern Union has a telegram for Garth McGee, whom it is unuhle to loente. The telegram from Gilmore City, la., is a notification of the death of his brother. Kiwanis Anniversary—Anniversary meeting of the Kiwanis club of Omaha will he held this evening at the Rome hotel. Fined $150—John Surra, 1314 Far nam street, arrested Wednesday night for the third time on a charge of ille gal possession of liquor, was fined yesterday by Judge Patrick in central police court $150. Savage Honored—J. A. Savage, su pervisor of writing in Omaha public schools. has been elected president of ^ the Central States Penmanship asso ' ciatlon. Autos in Collision—Automobiles driven by R. N. Alsvvorth, 3934 South Twenty-fifth street, and M. F. O'Meara. Hill hotel, collided yester day morning at Twentieth and Leav enworth streets. Both men were ar rested on charges of reckless driving. Sues lo Hold Cal’s—Tony Mangano. owner of the Sedan Taxi company, filed two suits in federal court yester day in an attempt to keep two of his cars from being confiscated and sold by federal authorities. Seven Motorists Fined—Seven mo torists were fined in Judge Patrick's court yesterday at central police head quarters on charges of speeding. The fines tanged from $3.50 to $7.50. Mrs. Hunsaker Fvonerated—Mrs. James Hunsaker, 1122 Park avenue, j arrested Wednesday evening when I her automobile struck Mrs Leona !
