Wood River, Neb., l'ee. H.—The Nebraska State Grange in session passed a resolution favoring a law allowing states to tax national soeuri ties and other properties in tin: state which are now exempt. The resolu tlon declared that all properties should be put on the tax list and there should be no distinction between tangible and intangible property. The resolution also demanded that the legislature repeal the Ive exempt ing $200 on household goods. The grange faiored tins taxing of all stock dividends and opposed gov ernment price fixing and guaranteeing of profits. The organisation opposed ship subsidy in any form, urged pay ment in full of all debts by allied nations. The grange also favored the regulation of heavy truck* on public roads, urged public economy, election of presideiit and vivo president by direct vote, election of county super- i intendents of schools by X vfcte of the rural districts only, as they are tie | priced of supervision of city and vil lage schools.
