The Buffaloei
entered their

innings.
In Omaha half of thii intiing-,
"Big Bill" Finrhrr got a lite on Mc
Daniel'i weak
blunder. A ra'f
of infield on is
boosted Fincher
to third, where
he icored ahead
of Grant ham,
when the latter
lifted the agate
out of the park
via right field
timber, kiiotrins;
the count. Grif
fin amackrd the
ball on the nose
and away it
went out to left
field for t
double. Heinie
Maiuif.li came
out of hi j hit
ting stump when he clouted the pel
let against (lie centerheld fence for
a triple, ringing up Griffin with the
score thai won the game for the
herd.
Eagan Derrick McBee,
At thii stage of the game Man
ager Eagan derricked McBee and
boiited Payne. The, latter chucked
'em over fast and with plenty of
Huff and held the herd scoreless un
til the seventh, when Gislason got a
two-ply hit and scored from the
half-way station on Bates' long sin
gle to center. All of this waa ac
complished after two outs.
Payne tailed along until the
eighth, when a trio of Egan'i em
ployes filled the basei after two
down. Previou to this incident,
"Urnp" Anderson had ousted all the
Indian substitute from the Okla
homa City dugout fortiaking funny
remarks about the way in which he
was conducting the game and all
that kinda stuff and, when Eagan
wanted to put in Pinch Hitter White
be had to trot over to the clubhouse
to get hit man.
"Cap" Leidy Objects.
"Cap" Leidy objected to this, but
got no satisfaction from the "ump"
and then informed all interested par
ties that he would protest the game
on the groundi that the umpire
ousted a player from the park and
then permitted him to return to the
park and get into the lineup. Omaha
won and saved Leidy from writing
out a lot of information to ship to
President learney.
Youna; finished the game for Okla
homa City and only had to hurl the
Omaha eifthth to turn the trick.
Big Bill" Fincher was fn tight
placei several times, but each time
his teammates susceeded in pulling
him out. He allowed 11 hits, but
the, Indians were unable to bunch
any of these hingles and make their
hits pay dividends in the form of
scores.
