K. McCormirk in straight nets, 6-4, 6-1. 7-5. tioth men played a upcctacular name and it was brill inure matched againit brilliance, with Powell having an ad mitten edge. Both men played deep most of the time, I owell coming in clone on hn own service. They made hot that seemed impossible am! neither con testant resorted to lobbing. Powell cored 111 points and McCor mirk, 86. There were but four love games, Powell winning all of them. McCor mick nerved six double faults, while Powell served none.'
