23d psalm was read and the Lord's
prayer recited.
Then the littlo gathering of family
and friends withdrew silently, with
tears streaming down their cheeks,
and the service was completed.
..The body will be taken to Detroit
for burial.

!;The selection of the chairman of
the executive committee will be held
nixt Tuesday.
Several men have been mentioned
as possibilities, for chairmanship of
the executive committee. In cir
cles close in touch with the situa
tion, the name of A. C. Scott seem
to be most prominently mentioned.
Until recently there has been some
doubt as to whether Mr. Scott, who
was elected a director under the
manufacturers classification, would
accept the responsibility. It was
rumored yesterday, however, that he
had "practically" promised to accept
the office, should he be elected.
Plans Made for Annual
'"' Corpus Christ! Celebration
-- Final plans for the third annual
Corpus Christi celebration, to be ob
served Sunday afternoon by several
hundred Omaha Catholics, were an
nounced yesterday by William R.
, Lynch, in charge of the procession.
Representatives from all Omaha par
ishes, as well as a special choir,
clergy of the city, and a special dele
gation of fourth degree Knights of
Columbus, are to take part in the
ceremonies. . ' v
Man Jailed for Theft
f of Baby's Milk Money
. ' Walter Anthens, 34, was given 30
days in jail on the charge of stealing
15 cents which his wife, Mrs. Elsie
Anthens, 20, 1722 Cass street, said
she saved to buy milk for their baby.
Mrs. Anthens riled suit for divorce
- ift; May, alleging that her husband
contributed only $3.20 a month for
her-support and the support of her
babies.
