These engines are designed' for high speed freight service but are so bal anced that they may be interchange ably etllciently used in slow freight set vice and, in emergency, iu heavy passenger tratllc service as well and cost approximately $rr,(i00 each or $3,3(10,00(1 for the lot. .More than a a mile of tubes is contained iu each boiler: exhaust steam Is used to heat the water in the tender before it is pumped into the boilers uud auto utatic coal pushers, which lessen the work of the fireman, shove the coul forward in the tenders. Cheyenne Frontier Days will have a counterpart in Concordia, Kansas, on July 18 19-20-21 when the "Great Frontier Roundup" takes place at the Cloud County Fnir Grounds. The committee in chnrge have affectionate ly called this athletic contest for cowboys ar.d cnttlemen in the dare devil sports of the lange. "The Golden Grain Rodeo" in honor of the harvest season, the word rodeo being the Spanish term for round-up. Mr. John Allison Strykerm early range rider, Inter Kansas and NcbrasKn school man, now producer of western sports, is in the city completing ar rangements. The tournament is staged under the same "open to the world" rules and regulations as Cheyenne Frontier Days and the Pendleton Roundup ar.d is attracting widespread attention" among writers, contestants and pa trons everywhere. Leonara Stroud and his wife known in rodeo circles as "Mayme" have sent in their en try fee which absolutely assures their appearance here. Mr. Stroud is the world's greatest all-round cowboy athelete and not only brings with him several world champions in their lines but also brings a whole car-load of the finest nnd fastest rodeo horses in the business, hugh Strickland of Ft. Worth, Texas will direct the mamoutn arena and "Mabel" Strickland, who won the McAlpin Trophy at Cheyenne last year as the world's greatest horseman, will give daily exhibitions of fancy riding and wild steer roping! Other stars who will shine here are: Mike Hastings, Pendleton, Oregon, Slim Caskey, Whichita Falls, Texas, Frank and Bonnie McCVtrroll. Boise, Idaho, Hank Durnell, Los Angetes, California, George A.
