Kaley and wife entertained their friends on Monday evening very handsomely. It was the occasion of their tenth anniversary. It was a very pleasant affair. On last Saturday evening, the edi tor of The Chief and wife celebrate ed their fifteenth redding anniver sary, with a few friends. They were kindly remembered by numerous mementos for which they feel great ful. The occasion will long be re membered by them. Getting, Druggist, On Sunday afternoon while Harvey Vincent and Miss Mav Rockield were out riding with one of Friz Rich ardson's teams, the horses became nn- managable and came tearing into the city at a terrible rate. When they arrived in front ef W. M. Visscher's residence they ran into a fire alarm post and upset the buggy throwing the occupants out and quite seriously injured Miis Rockfield. She was ta ken into Mr. Visscher's and kindly cared for until she was able to be ta ken home. She is reported as getting along nicely under the care of Dn Moranville. These whose names are given herein are worthy of the more honorable mention from the fact that they have made a perfect record in an atmosphere of irregular ity. Our young people, as a rule, have yet to learn that it is discredit able to be habitually absent from school. I greatly wish that I may be able to preaent a longer list the next time; and to this end I urge parents and all good citizens to dis cuss these things until there shall be such a sentiment created as will make irregularity as unpopular as it is now popular.
