It is sus ceptible of easy proof that the Sewing Machine has been a greater blessing to the American people than nny in vention of the pre.-ent century. Noth ing else has done so much to s.ve the lives and hcaltli of the wives and the patient over worked women of the laud who, as a class, most uceded relief from the burdens of every day life. Every father and husband fails to do his duty if he fails to endow his house with such a triumph of science as the Wilson Shuttle Sewing Ma chine. It is the cheapest and best sewing machine offered. Machines will be deliverd at the nearest Rail road Station to your place free of transportation charges, if ordered through the Company's Branch House at Sx, Louis Mo. They send an elegant catalogue and chrumo circular, free on nplication. This Company want a few more good agents. Mr. I. Frisbie and family, of Louisa Co , Iowa, returned last week with his family, together with Fred Hummel and wife, and Walter Wade. Both old settlers of this county. The Uatca otrcen tie Sci Cicttd Cls.s and ths Lurr Caz Ciu's, July 31 The game commenced at 3 30 p. m. The Bed Cloud boys at the start were without their captain and- pitcher. Garbcr was taken to fill up, and game proceeded with eight men until the 5th innings when Warner the captain arrived. At the Cth inning Gillham took his place in the nine. Garber went home sick, and the first baseuaau refused to play any more. The Red Cloud boys were therefore with the exception of one innings without their full quota of men. With the excep tion of a little altercation among our own boys which resulted in the retire ment of Touilinson, the game passed off very pleasantly. The Burr Oak boys were thorough gentlemen, and we shall be glad to see them again in our village. The game was umpired by Mr. Macomber who gave aa impar tial a decision as possible.
