poujted nearly two months, I have
not been idle,. I promised the Presi
dent cf tha N. L. U. to canvass the
opinions of our fellow-citizens before
I finally accepted the responsible,' but
cot lucj&tive oiilce. 1 have, by mail
and personal intercourse, ascertained
that not not only a majority, but our
workingmen nre nearly a unite on the
principles of our labor platform.: Al

earnest in the work, Is organized un
der a charter from the Executive of the
N. L. U. For me to hesitate or falter
now would be a grave crime, an insult
to the manhood of our class, for every
thinking workingman feels a change
is necessary, and must be immediate.
